An
Open Letter to Potential Applicants
(Please read first)
My name is John
and Im Vice President of Sales and Marketing for SiteForLess.com.
I have been charged with building an excellent sales force
from the ground up for a unique opportunity and Im
looking for a few good sales people. Many will apply. Only
a handful will be selected. Im going to list the qualities
Im looking for and if you have made it to the end of my letter,
there may be good reason for us to talk further! (You must read
this letter in order to apply for the position. It is my way of
ensuring you understand the opportunity.)
First, let me
be clear. This is not a get rich quick scheme. People
wishing to be instant millionaires need not apply. However, if you
want to be your own boss, believe in working smart,
and excel at whatever you do, keep reading.
To succeed in
this business, you must be self-motivated and of the
highest moral caliber. You must have a neat and clean appearance,
charm, whit, a great smile, an abundant belief in your self and
your ability to achieve. You must have enthusiasm
and it must be at the core of your being. You must be able to sell
to people over the telephone but you will interact with people face
to face as well. Are you still with me? Good!
You must be
willing and able to do whatever it ethically takes in order to achieve
a minimum of 3 new accounts and $3,500 in new sales per month. Not
much of a minimum. (NOTE: The more sales created early on, the greater
the residual income stream as time continues.) Our minimum
is small because we recognize that some individuals may
do this only part time. We require that you focus at least half
of your working hours to this opportunity. The minimum is our way
of ensuring this. Remember, if selected, YOU control how you
spend your time
you will be your own boss but you
wont be alone. (More on that point a little later
)
Maintaining
a professional image is paramount. You must have access
to a quiet workspace where you will spend your most productive time.
This space must be equipped with a computer, Internet access (preferably
high-speed like DSL or Cable), and a telephone / cell phone dedicated
to the business.
Being accountable
and trainable is critical. You must be willing to set goals for
yourself with the input of a coach. You must be willing
to take the suggestions of others in order to help you meet and
exceed your goals. Even Tiger Woods has a coach!
Now that weve
whittled down the crowd a bit and have some serious contenders,
let me tell you a little bit about myself, the opportunity, and
how to get started in the hiring process
Ive been
in sales since I was 19 years old. Ive been an entrepreneur
and have started several business from scratch. I was founding partner
in a direct marketing company in Seattle that I grew from just six
employees to over 40 in a few short years. Ive been the Director
of Sales for a $300,000,000 a year company. Ive seen
the good and the bad of working for yourself and for someone else
in both small and large office environments.
When I took
over as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at SiteForLess, I
was given a clean slate from which I could create a unique and powerful
sales and marketing system. With that in mind Ive
taken all of my experiences (good and bad) as an entrepreneur, employee,
consultant, and sales professional to create something that I could
believe in, feel passionate about, and share with others. I leaped
at this opportunity not just for myself, but for what I believed
I could create for others. My guiding principles were:
- There needed
to be an outstanding leadership team with a vision
for the future and a clear business plan on how to get there.
- The product
/ service had to be oriented towards businesses.
(Selling to consumers is great, but selling to businesses is much
better in my mind.)
- The product
/ service had to be something different from competitors
something special
and something that our target market desperately
needs.
- The payout
to the sales force had to be very attractive with
significant residual income potential.
- For those
so inclined, leadership opportunities needed to
be available to those who show they have what it takes to do more
than just sell. The financial rewards had to be significant there
as well.
- The business
model had to provide for fun like contests.
Not just giving away trinkets either. Something BIG like a family
vacation. IN ADDITION, I wanted it open for anyone who put their
110% effort and got results not just the top 1% of the sales force.
- There needed
to be the ability for people to work from home and
be their own boss. (If you are the right candidate, you are tough
on yourself
no need for a boss.)
In the end, not only have we created a position that allows
for the above, there is one more thing I havent
mentioned.
- We have created
a business model where you are your own boss (completely in control
of your destiny) and yet you are not alone. You have the back-end
support of the company so you can focus on what you do best
sell! You focus your energy on bringing the customers to SiteForLess.com.
You help in the initial process of getting the account set-up.
You continue to maintain contact with the customer especially
with new sales ideas. We provide the toll-free tech support and
take care of the billing. We coordinate the back-end details
and make sure everything happens the way it is supposed to. PLUS,
we handle a good portion of ongoing marketing although
youll have the ability to participate in more advanced marketing
campaigns.
In
the end, not only have we created a position
that allows for the above, there is
one more thing I haven't mentioned. We have created a business
model where you are your own boss (completely in control of your
destiny) and yet you are not alone. You have the back-end
support of the company so you can focus on what you do best…

PLUS, we handle a good portion of ongoing marketing - although you'll

Ill tell
you up-front the position is 100% commission. This
is for individuals who believe in themselves, know they can achieve,
and are serious about sales. (I would rather pay people on how they
perform and reward them SIGNIFICANTLY vs. paying someone an hourly
wage for questionable performance.)
The financial
rewards ARE significant. We provide a 40% payout on new
customers and new services sold to those customers. We provide a
15% ongoing residual payout on those existing customers if they
continue to renew and maintain their service with us. Right now,
due to our outstanding Customer Service department, we have been
averaging a 90% renewal rate! Some customers even renew for several
years in advance. Weve included a calculator
so you can see exactly how much you can earn depending on how many
sales you have a month, what the average dollar value of each sale
is, and on your ability to retain customers.
If there was
any doubt before, we are a web-hosting company. We are selling
web sites. However we arent like any web-hosting company
youve seen before. (And not just because of our unique sales
opportunity.)
We provide TOLL-FREE
tech support beginning the day the customer joins us without requiring
any additional fees from the customer. (We are building the
BEST, most responsive customer support in the business.)
We are FOCUSED
with laser-like precision on our target market. Right now, that
market is Insurance Agents. (Lots of them out there, more and more
joining the ranks every day.) We are aggressively building systems
to support new markets as well. Financial Planners are next. We
will continue to add new vertical markets as time
moves forward with specialized tools for each of them.
We dont
seek to be everything to everyone. Our best customers
are those who have smaller, independent professional offices who
dont have the time to keep up their own web sites but who
want to have a big-business appearance.
Finally, we
have a special web-editing tool like none other. EZeditor
combined with our professionally designed templates, our EZEditor
allows anyone to maintain their web site with just a couple of clicks
of a mouse. No one has our editor and customers have
to stay with us in order to have access to it. (If a customer doesnt
want to be bothered with any web editing, we can take on their entire
site set-up and editing for a nominal fee.)
Think
about it, for just $595 a year, a customer can have a professional
looking web-site, maintained and professionally edited by SiteForLess
so they can focus on running and growing their business. That includes
things like domain name registration, hosting, toll-free tech support,
etc. You can imagine then, that most customers join us to look more
professional while saving time and money.
